Mmmm. Cake.

So the cake that looked so promising yesterday now looks like something a crazy uncle they keep locked in the attic would have made. However, it tastes like it was made out of pure joy. And Chocolate. I think I just won't let them see it before I serve it.

I still have a bit of work to get done, but I'm not in a huge rush since they won't be here until 1. VA Chicken goes in at 10, potatoes start around 11:30, I guess. Sweeping and mopping will commence when Jens gets up and has breakfast.

Yay for company coming over! :-D

WOOOOOO!

That was fabulous! Frog refused to behave, jumping and barking, and since Anelia is a little bit afraid of large dogs he had to sit this one out in the kitchen. But my food all went over well, I gave her my recipes for Virginia Chicken and the Chocolate cake. We played a few hands of Uno and looked at pictures. IT WAS GREAT FUN!

They brought over a bottle of wine and a box of the coconut Rafaello candies, which is very cool. I was telling Jens we should take up drinking since we have four or five bottles of wine in the liquor cabinet that we've gotten as gifts. AND we're going to be invited over to their place sometime! :-D

This was the most fun I've had in awhile. *grins*
