Woke up today with a horrible sore throat. Feeling like total crap. So I went to the doctor. Does anybody else get that slight feeling of concern mostly overpowered by vindication when the doctor looks horrified?

Doctor: *makes horrified face* How long have you had this?
Me: I woke up with it this morning.
Doctor: *shocked face* Your throat is awfully red, your lymph nodes and the back of your tongue are really swollen. I'm going to put you on 10 days of antibiotics.
Me: *nods and thinks "THAT'S RIGHT BETCHES! I BELONG IN THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE! IT'S NOT ALL IN MY HEAD!"*

Also, since my throat hurts like hell, I put myself on the 'Fuck You, It Hurts When I Swallow' Diet. AKA Ice Cream. Why call it that, you ask? One, it's that time of month so I'm cranky. Two, 'I thought you were trying to lo-' FUCK YOU, IT HURTS WHEN I SWALLOW. See how that works?

Change 1 has been going well, or it was until the FitBit website did some sort of redesign and borked the Food Log thing. Hopefully it'll be fixed by Monday.

Change 2 is also food related, and I have already begun implementing it. No food after 6pm. On the rare occasions when I feel the need for food after 6pm, I have a Tums and some water. Snacking in the evenings is a big problem for me, recording my food helped me to realize that. Getting out of the habit will help me with weight loss goals and in getting healthier.

Change 3 is sort of a combo change, it's about moving more and working on keeping the house cleaner. For one hour, Monday through Friday, while Sammy is at Kindergarten I crank some bouncy music and clean house while dancing around like a weirdo! I get a lot done, and it is a lot of fun.

Change 1

The first change I'm making is food related! Starting today I have begun weighing/measuring and recording everything I eat and drink on the FitBit website.

My eating has been out of control for awhile now. This is the first step to getting it back under control. I need to relearn what a single serving looks like and pay attention to what I'm eating.

I have been mainly using my FitBit to keep track of how I sleep, now I'm using it the way it was intended: to monitor how many calories I burn/how many calories in take in.

I'll post again later in the week to update on my progress!
