Dec. 30th, 2007 07:55 amSo. Didn't sleep too well last night. I woke up at 2am from a bad dream and realized I forgot to buy more margarine and sour cream. I have barely enough to make the stuffing and none left for doing the turkey up mom's way or for the potatoes. Swell. Kept waking up all panicky after that (I'd drift off for a half hour or 45 minutes and then ...) and once I finally got into a decent sleep the alarm went off for me to get up.
The turkey should be fine, it's wrapped in bacon and baking for 4 hours in Pfifferling soup. It's not really what you'd get at an American holiday meal but hey, at least it'll be all tender and tasty. And I suppose I'll make deviled eggs instead of grandma's mashed potatoes. I'm skipping the Pumpkin Pie for different reasons.
IF ONLY EVERYTHING WASN'T CLOSED ON SUNDAYS! Or you know, if only I had gotten used to that fact in the 3+ years I've been here and made certain that I was prepared.
